Brooklyn based, True Groove is an artist development focused label. Founded in 2011 by Global Soul pioneer Tomás Doncker, True Groove was born out of what Tomás saw as a need for a forward thinking artist oriented brand where MUSIC COMES FIRST. Featuring the in-house production team of production team of Tomás Doncker and engineer/co-producer James Dellatacoma as well as a house band of some of New York’s finest musicians, True Groove supports, nurtures and inspires its growing roster of multi-cultural world-class artists. Musically speaking, True Groove is not genre specific, but is genre inclusive. “What is most important to us is the spirit and vision of the artists within the True Groove family— each artist is fiercely individual, has a strong work ethic, and shows a genuine commitment to community — these are the cornerstones of Global Soul” says Doncker.
