Larry Stevens, singer/songwriter and lead singer for The Larry Stevens Band, has been receiving critical acclaim for his musical style and dynamic performances. Larry has been busy booking shows throughout the New York tri-state area and beyond, playing everything from rock-pop originals to a variety of cover songs ranging from Van Morrison, Elvis, the Beatles, Jack Johnson, Eric Clapton, and John Mayer. His third CD, “Downstairs at Mayo’s”, blends rock and pop with a twist of country. This EP is a follow-up to his successful album, “Heart of a Fighter" and his debut album, "Our Country". A fourth album, "Mercer Street", was released independently in June 2011 and represents a collaboration with several of the industry's most acclaimed musicians. Larry has been a featured guest on popular shows on WHUD 100.7 FM radio, WFDU 89.1FM radio, WDVR 89.7FM & 91.9FM radio, WOR 710AM radio, World Wide Radio (syndicated), News 12 NJ television, and performs live on various internet broadcasts. In addition, he has had the honor of performing for our wounded warriors at Walter Reed Medical Center in Washington, D.C. In 2005 Larry was bestowed the honor of being inducted into the prestigious Friars Club in New York City. Larry has been busy performing at various concert series, festivals, and events. He recently opened for such major artists as Huey Lewis, Kenny Loggins, Foreigner, and Todd Rundgren, and past highlights include opening for Peter Frampton, Shania Twain, Steve Forbert, and The Doobie Brothers. Larry’s focus is to make audiences of all ages feel included as an integral part of the performance.
