Jared Young
For six years singer/songwriter Jared Young has been playing his brand of radio rock for audiences all over the United States. As a songwriter, Jared combines his ear for fresh melodies with a poet’s hand for inventive lyric writing. His live shows are intense and energetic, and his genuine emotional involvement in his performances draws his listeners into the experience with him. An Arkansas native, Jared now lives in Los Angeles and has garnered a steady following through live shows and the internet. In 2004, Jared began offering free full-length music downloads on his website which logged over 5,000 downloads in the last year. Jared's music has appeared in a number of independent films including Life, Death, and Mini-Golf; Gone But Not Forgotten; and All-American Males. Most recently, Jared's song, "Push" was placed in Four Winds Pictures' short feature, Animus Road. Jared has performed at the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC, and last year performed the lead role in Barry Gremillion’s rock opera Firehead alongside LA greats Dave Crozier (saxophone and clarinet) and Bob Birch (bass player for Elton John).
