Described as a distinctive, stomping, and gritty version of garage rock a la Iggy Pop’s Lust for Life, the Portland, OR.-based band Bodhi released its highly LP Secondhand Runner, recorded by Brian Jonestown Massacre bassist Colin Hegna at Revolver Studios, as well as in the living room of Bodhi’s southeast Portland home, the 11-track album features new material, such as “Bystander,” “Rebels, Etc.” and “The Kids Are So Nice.” Secondhand Runner also includes a revisited version of fan favorite “Nadine,” which appeared on the PDX Pop Now! compilation. Grammy-award winning engineer Stephen George (Le Tigre, Rick Ocasek) mixed select songs at Gimme That Sound Studios in NY, and the mastering took place at a secret location in Manhattan. Stephen George brought this amazing band to WACBIZ, adding his mix magic to quite a few tracks!
