Belikos

Since joining forces in Ann Arbor, Michigan in late 2006, Belikos moved east to their adoptive home of New York City and has been taking over the east coast piece by piece. They have played clubs, venues, and festivals from the Virgin Mobile Free Fest, CMJ College Music Marathon, The Afro-Punk Festival, Piano’s, Santos Party House the Bitter End in Greenwich Village, and Webster Hall in Manhattan, the Chance Theater in Poughkeepsie, The Blind Pig in Ann Arbor, St. Andrews in Detroit, headlining the Utica Music Festival in Utica, to performing alongside Bad Brains, Mos Def, Fishbone, Lifehouse and Matt Nathanson. Belikos has released three EP’s and a live album, the most recent of which is ‘The Live & Die E.P.’ which was released in September 2011. Tired of the flaccid, ineffective rock and roll that is being sold to the masses today and Belikos is looking to revive the idea of originality within the genre, and looking to bring people back to the live show- because in the time of digital music, the last real connection that the fans have with their music is truly the live show. Belikos is a rock and roll band who, in the great tradition of rock and roll, has absorbed what they were brought up around and incorporated that into their sound, which leaves them drawing from influences ranging from Outkast, to Tool, to Prince, to the Red Hot Chili Peppers. As the Belikos sound is a collision of musical traditions Belikos itself is a collision of unique talents and personalities. Belikos is: Ethan Hampton- Guitar/Vocals Justin Hampton- Drums Aaron ‘AO’ Orr- Vocals Shane ‘Maux’ Page- Vocals Keith Reed- Bass/Vocals
